Growing up, weekends at the beach in Port Aransas, TX were a cherished tradition. With an easy drive from our hometown of San Antonio, TX, it became a second home. My father, David Flores, shared that love for the beach and always sought to create the best experience for family and friends. Providing the best shade was a priority, but he wanted something unique—something that harnessed the ocean breeze instead of fighting against it. That’s when he came up with the idea of using parachute technology to create a wind-powered shade solution. With this vision-ShadeChute emerged. His invention quickly drew attention, and as demand grew, he envisioned expanding production to bring ShadeChute to more people.

Unfortunately, before he could fulfill his dream, David was diagnosed with terminal cancer and passed away.

With the same passion he had for innovation and enhancing beach experiences, we took his original prototype and refined it—improving its functionality, durability, and ease of use. After years of development, collaboration, and learning, we created the ultimate version of ShadeChute. Our goal is simple: provide a reliable, effortless shade solution that works with the wind, not against it. ShadeChute delivers quiet, spacious, and secure shade, allowing you to relax without worrying about it being swept away.
